In order to update your pack labor hourly rates per crew size you will navigate to the following:

Manage > Estimate Settings > Main Estimate Settings

Inside the estimate settings page, you will click on the labor price estimate tab (PURPLE)

Inside the labor price estimate tab you will see the page below:

People (Purple): This column lists the crew size that you have listed for the hourly rates.

Pack Per Hour (BLUE): This is where you can list your pack labor hourly rates for each individual crew size.

Action (Yellow): Anytime you make changes to the People, Price Per Hour, Base Price, or Pack Per Hour fields you will want to select the green update button inside of this box. If you do not want to have a price for any particular crew size you can then use the trash can to delete that specific crew size from the list of rates.

Once you have updated your Pack Per Hour prices, you can add prices according to the materials used. Navigate to the following:

Manage > Estimate Settings > Packing Materials

Inside the Packing Materials page, you will see the page below:

Flat Pack (Purple): This is the default flat rate for packing the material on the left.

Flat Unpack (Blue): This is the default flat rate for unpacking the material on the left.

Pack Time (Orange): This is the default amount of time in minutes it takes one man to pack one box. The system will use this time & the total number of boxes to calculate the packing hours on the estimate, which will be divided by the number of men being sent on the pack job.

Unpack Time (Brown): This is the default amount of time in minutes it takes one man to unpack one box. The system will use this time & the total number of boxes to calculate the packing hours on the estimate, which will be divided by the number of men being sent on the pack job.

Action (Lime Green): Anytime you make changes you will need to select the green update button inside of this box.

Once you have input all of your settings, the pack labor feature can be utilized. You will begin on Step 4 (Purple):

Step 4 (Purple): You must come to step 4 and select one of the options if you want to charge a customer for pack labor.

No Packing Required (Blue): This option will be selected by default for all estimates. This is if you are not providing packing services for this move.

Flat Pack/Unpack (Red): Select this option if you would like to charge your flat packing rates for this customer.

Hourly Pack/Unpack (Green): Select this option if you would like to charge your hourly packing rates for this customer.

Item & Total QTY (Yellow): This section will list the packing materials added on Step 3 and the total quantity you will be providing.

Pack QTY (Pink): This is the number of items from the left (Yellow) that you will be charging pack labor for.

Unpack QTY (Brown): This is the number of items from the left (Yellow) that you will be charging unpack labor for.

Next, you will continue to Step 6 (Red) of the estimate:

Packing Services (Purple): This will be automatically selected if packing services are added on in Step 4.

Packing Service Section (Green): This section has been enlarged for a better view below.

Packing Crew Size (Yellow): This is the crew size for your pack labor.

Packing Hourly Rate (Red): This is your hourly pack labor rate. This will only appear if you selected "Hourly Pack/Unpack" on Step 4.

Packing Hours (Blue): These are the estimated packing hours, calculated by your "pack/unpack time" on the packing materials page explained earlier in this article. You are able to manually change this on Step 6.

Packing Fee (Green): This will show the packing fee total.
