Claims are where we can track any progress of any claim that is being made whether or not its being filed with an insurance company. Here's how we enter and manage claims:

First thing to cover is the two (2) places we can find in the system to start a claim -

  1. Under the Closed Out Jobs page when closing out the job initially.

When you select File A Claim, another window will pop up where you'll be able to enter all the details for what they're claiming was damaged or broken.

Blue: You can track old claims if you wish to enter them in here as well. The Type of claim is just whether this is a new or old claim from a customer.

Green: You'll be able to track any status of this claim whether it's new and needs to be addressed or being looked into you can mark it as Investigating, if the claim was not applicable and was Denied there is a way to notate this as well. Ultimately if you end up filing with an insurance company you can always note the claim as Approved. That way anyone who needs to, knows whether to take the time to follow up with the insurance company or not.

Pink: You can track how the claim was resolved IF approved so that way you can see if the customer was taken care of and how.

You can also file a claim after Closing Out the Job if you need to.

2) The other way you can pull up this menu to start a claim is from the actual Account Data for a customer. (search their name)

In this window you'll be able to see any current Open Claims, as well and look under a specific tab for any Past Claims need be from here too. If you look in the upper right hand corner, near where your company's logo is displayed, you'll see Create Claim as well if you're needing to start one for a customer.

If you actually select Create Claim, the whole page will change and you'll see where you can put in the same previous information.

Any claim of course can have photos attached as well as be accompanied by a description for your purposed only.

The customer doesn't see any of this information.

  • * Back on the dashboard you'll see a Claims Tab at the top as well. This is where all of your over-all claims will be listed for you to go through.
